Regard is an all-in-one solution from the manufacturer Vita Research. It combines the benefits of a preservative-free peroxide solution with the ease of use and good cleansing action of an all-in-one solution. Thanks to a special disinfection system, Regard is the only preservative-free all-in-one eye solution. This makes Regard particularly suitable for allergy sufferers, as well as for anyone who wants to do without preservatives. The formula is particularly gentle on sensitive eyes. In the eye, the ingredients disintegrate into the natural tear film components of water and salt and release oxygen in the process.
No preservatives for sensitive eyes
Preservatives can irritate the eyes or affect allergies. The all-in-one solution Regard offers the unique benefits of a preservative-free eye solution. In the bottle, the liquid is stabilised with a very small quantity of hydrogen peroxide. As soon as the fluid comes into contact with the eye, it breaks down into a saline solution and releases oxygen. Thus, it is in no way harmful to the eyes. Anyone who has had an allergic reaction to cosmetics, detergents, or the like may be allergic to preservatives. Contact lens care products that contain hydrogen peroxide are inherently preservative-free.
Intensive cleansing and disinfection
Regard offers excellent peroxide-quality disinfection and optimal removal of proteins and fats from contact lenses. Two disinfectant agents are used which effectively kill a broad spectrum of germs. After disinfecting, OxyChlorit disintegrates into common salt and oxygen as soon as it is exposed to light. The second agent, hydrogen peroxide (in 0.01% concentration), breaks down when the tear film comes into contact with water and oxygen. Thus, the substances contained are harmless to the eyes.
Fresh and moist contact lenses
The all-in-one Regard solution incorporates a humectant, HPMC (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose). It forms a protective layer on the contact lenses when you put them in and moistens your eyes so that the contact lenses are comfortable. The substance HPMC can bind water and thus remain on the eye for longer.
