Coopervision's Proclear toric is a soft monthly lens for people with astigmatism, a curvature of the cornea that leads to blurred or blurred vision. Proclear toric contact lenses are also available in enhanced vision and can correct pronounced astigmatism. They are characterized by a high spontaneous tolerance and are very well accepted even when worn for long periods of time. The soft, low modulus reduces negative effects on the cornea and provides a comfortable wearing sensation that lasts all day long.
Proclear toric lenses contain PC Hydration Technology, which keeps them naturally moist. The phosphorylcholine contained in the lens material has a water-absorbing effect and creates a natural moisture reservoir that prevents drying out. Even after 12 hours of wear, the lens still feels pleasantly fresh. The same phosphorylcholine molecules also occur in the human cell membrane. Since it is a biocompatible substance, the lenses are not detected as foreign bodies and are particularly comfortable to wear. In addition, binding water to the surface creates a protective shield that keeps the lens naturally clean and prevents irritation from proteins or other deposits.
Proclear toric lenses provide a clear and sharp view with both light and more pronounced astigmatism. Both near and far objects can be seen sharply again. Due to their high wearing comfort, the lenses are also ideally suited for air-conditioned rooms and longer screen work. Proclear toric lenses can be worn for up to 14 hours a day. They are easy to handle, as they are colored blue and therefore easy to find.
