Coopervision's Proclear Multifocal was specially developed for people with presbyopia. The soft, flexible lenses allow clear and sharp vision at all distances. As with progressive vision glasses, objects can be focused at all distances, ensuring excellent depth perception. The combination of spherical and aspherical optics results in the best possible visual acuity over all distances.
Proclear Multifocal lenses contain phosphorylcholine, a natural substance that is also found in the human body. The lenses are not perceived as foreign bodies and irritation is avoided. The result is a very high wearing comfort. In addition, the water-absorbing properties of the material form a kind of protective film on the surface, which prevents dirt particles from adhering to the lens.
Coopervision's special "PC Technology" process developed by Coopervision is used in the production process. This technique attracts water and ensures that the water molecules adhere to the lens and become part of the material. This makes the lenses resistant to drying out and keeps them sufficiently hydrated even after long periods of wear. This creates a natural resistance to dryness of the eyes and the lenses feel moist and fresh all day long. Proclear Multifocal lenses are therefore ideally suited for sensitive eyes.
The biocompatible material with a high water content offers high wearing comfort and is particularly suitable for dry eyes. Particularly in connection with presbyopia, the eyes often also become drier. The excellent compatibility of the Proclear Multifocal is particularly effective here. The lenses are designed for a daily wear time of up to 14 hours and only need to be changed once a month.
