Moisture in the eye every day
OCULEA ECTOIN is based on an innovative combination of active ingredients consisting of ectoine, hyaluronic acid and carboxymethylcellulose. The ectoine forms a stabilizing protective layer on the surface of the eye, while hyaluronic acid intensively moisturizes and soothes the cornea. In addition, carboxymethylcellulose binds moisture and adheres effectively to the epithelial cells of the cornea, providing long-lasting relief. OCULEA ECTOIN is therefore very suitable for sensitive, dry eyes. The drops are especially suitable for daily use and support the eyes in the event of allergies, dryness or irritation caused by external influences. The handy mono-dose format means that the drops are always to hand - whether at home, in the office or on the go.
Protection and relief for allergies
OCULEA ECTOIN is ideal for the prevention and relief of allergy symptoms such as itchy, dry or irritated eyes. The unique mesh structure of the two active ingredients ensures that ectoine remains on the surface of the eye for longer and enables gradual release over a period of up to 12 hours. This effectively reduces allergens and inflammatory symptoms. OCULEA ECTOIN offers additional protection against external irritants such as pollen and provides more comfort for sensitive eyes.
The three special substances of OCULEA ECTOIN
The combination of three proven active ingredients helps to intensively moisturize the eyes and stabilize the tear film.
Ectoine is a natural amino acid derivative with amphoteric properties that is synthesized by microorganisms to protect themselves from external influences. As a so-called extremolite, it is known for its ability to protect cells from stress. This special property was first discovered in a salt lake in the Egyptian desert. In eye care, ectoine supports the lipid layer of the tear film and has a cell-protecting effect.
Hyaluronic acid is known for its high water-binding capacity and forms the basis for long-lasting moisture. After application, it remains stable in the tear film for a longer period of time without impairing vision.
Sodium carboxymethylcellulose (also known as sodium carmellose) complements the effect as a proven wetting agent. Thanks to its water-binding properties, it stabilizes the tear film and ensures that the surface of the eye is evenly moistened.
Together, these three ingredients ensure lasting moisturization and a pleasant feeling of freshness.
