VitroCap®N is designed to meet the special needs of the eyes and offers targeted care. The capsules contain specially prepared plant ingredients from grape seeds and citrus fruits as well as vitamin C and zinc, which are known to help maintain normal vision.

Important ingredients

Zinc plays a crucial role in normal vision as it contributes to normal vitamin A metabolism. Vitamin A is an essential nutrient found in the eye in the form of visual purple (retinol) and is essential for the function of light receptors. Light receptors are specialized cells in the retina that convert light into electrical signals, which are then interpreted by the brain as images. A zinc deficiency can impair vitamin A metabolism and thus hinder the formation of visual purple, which can lead to reduced vision.
Vitamin C and zinc also help to protect cells from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is caused by free radicals, which can damage cell structures. Vitamin C and zinc act as antioxidants by neutralizing free radicals and thus protecting the cells from damage. This protection is particularly important for the eyes, as they are constantly exposed to light and oxygen, which can lead to the formation of free radicals. Vitamin C also plays an important role in collagen formation in the body. Collagen is a structural protein that ensures the elasticity and strength of skin, bones, cartilage, tendons and blood vessels. In the eye, collagen is an important component of the cornea, the sclera (the white of the eye) and the lens. Sufficient collagen formation is essential for the normal function of these structures and therefore for good vision. Vitamin C contributes to this by promoting the formation of collagen fibers and supporting their cross-linking. Valuable secondary plant substances are contained in extracts from grape seeds (proanthocyanidins) and citrus peel (hesperidin). L-lysine is an essential amino acid, i.e. the human body cannot produce it itself from other food components.

• Proanthocyanidins, found in grape seeds, are a class of polyphenols known to neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress. They can also support the health of the cardiovascular system by promoting blood circulation and strengthening blood vessels.
• Hesperidin, a flavonoid found in citrus peel, also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and support the function of the immune system.
• L-lysine is an essential amino acid, which means that the body cannot produce it itself and must obtain it from food. L-lysine plays a crucial role in protein synthesis, collagen formation, calcium absorption and supporting the immune system. It can also contribute to wound healing and the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails.
