What is astigmatism?

Astigmatism causes blurred, distorted vision due to slight irregularities in the surface of the eye. Your eye sees best when the cornea is perfectly round — with astigmatism, it has a slightly irregular shape instead. Nearly half of people who need vision correction also have some degree of astigmatism(10). Until now, correcting astigmatism with contact lenses alongside presbyopia has been difficult. Thanks to ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL for ASTIGMATISM, there's now a solution for almost every eye.

Distorted Vision — See for yourself

With astigmatism, vision appears unevenly distorted. You can test this yourself to see whether you have astigmatism. Try it with or without your lenses: hold the screen at roughly arm's length, cover one eye with your hand, and look at the red marker in the center with your other eye. OptiBlue™ Light Filter

These contact lenses filter around 60% of blue-violet light, helping to reduce light scatter(&8). Less scattered light means clearer vision and sharper distance vision(11). Light scatter naturally increases with age — due to changes within the eye's lens, scatter is roughly twice as high by age 60(12). Especially for people with presbyopia, reducing light scatter can improve optical precision and overall visual quality.

TearStable™ - Technology

These daily lenses are built with TearStable™ Technology, designed to stabilize the tear film and help retain moisture.(†8,9,11) Tear film stability naturally declines with age, which is why people with presbyopia need a lens material that keeps the tear film stable, helping to prevent dryness and discomfort.
